From Prison to Positive Steps: A Suited & Booted Success Story
Kieron’s story is one of resilience and determination. When we first met him last December at Suited & Booted's showroom, he had only been out of prison for a couple of weeks but was already on an inspiring path forward. We were there with BBC’s Dan Walker to see the incredible work this London charity does – helping men like Kieron regain confidence by fitting them with smart interview clothes, including LSC socks.
Each year, Suited & Booted supports over 1,000 vulnerable and unemployed men, empowering them to take their next steps toward a brighter future. With every order, you help us support their life-changing work.
We recently caught up with Kieron to hear how Suited & Booted helped him Walk Brighter and to see what he’s been up to since.
"I started my Masters in Innovation Management and entrepreneurship immediately on release. This has allowed me to work on my projects by iterating them as I learn and as well as educate myself further on business processes and strategies.
My experiences at Suited & Booted are ingrained in my memory as so positive and a boost in confidence at the exact right time. This means it’s the first organisation I recommend to prison leavers. .
One of my biggest highlights since my release have been receiving my First Class honours degree in business in front of my mum. Getting my first standing ovation for a speech and more recently getting two investments for two different ideas I pitched in the same week.
When I speak about my journey to people, I’ve been told it comes across like boasting, but it feels so surreal to me I honestly feel like I am witnessing it all, rather than living it.
When I think of the progress I have made so far, I gain confidence to attack audacious goals, I am optimistic about my future and I do Walk Brighter each day."

They are always looking for volunteers – stylists, wardrobe assistants, office and admin – so please do get in touch if you are able to help support them with your time!
