The Smiley Charity Film Awards, known as the ‘Oscars of the charity sector’, celebrate powerful storytelling in non-profit and cause-driven films. Since its launch in 2016, the awards have recognised charities and brands using film to raise awareness and drive change. We’re honoured to be in the Corporate Cause category, shining a spotlight on the incredible work of Suited & Booted.

Suited & Booted: Empowering Men Through Style

Confidence isn’t just about how you feel – it’s about how you present yourself to the world. Suited & Booted is a London-based charity that supports men facing barriers to employment by providing professional attire, interview coaching, and mentorship. From young men starting their careers to individuals rebuilding their lives, the charity helps hundreds each year walk into interviews with self-assurance and dignity.

"Last year alone, we supported over 1,000 men in preparing for job interviews, helping them feel ready to take on new opportunities," says Maria Lenn, chief executive of Suited & Booted. "Having this film recognised as a finalist is an incredible moment – not just for us, but for every person we’ve been able to support."

Our film, created with TV and radio presenter Dan Walker, captures the essence of Suited & Booted’s mission: that dressing well is about more than just clothes – it’s about self-worth and opportunity.
